I took gymnastics when I was 6, but stopped after a few months. Since then, I’ve worked out here and there and was pretty flexible for awhile. I’ve been going on and off to the gym ( it’s been 3 months now since I last went) and I just recently took a gymnastics class and tried to do a front handspring but couldn’t land on my two feet! They also say to push with your hands to spring, but I don’t know exactly when to push (the coach wasn’t very helpful to me). Plus, I think I have weak arms, and I have weak leg muscles when I’m in a squat position. I can still do a bridge though, but after trying to practice the front handspring so many times, I am now super SORE everywhere!! Should I keep on trying? Or maybe take a pilates class or some sort of aerobics class before trying out adult gymnastics class again? I was so embarrased at the class because everyone else was able to do the front handspring good but me (plus it was their first time ever trying too, which is even more embarrasing!), but I REALLY want to learn this skill. Thanks!

I know im not huge, but when there are other teachers who are a size 4 with ripped abs and I feel that I wouldnt look my part. Come on, no one wants to take the aerobics class from the fat *****. So my question is what should I do? Should I loose a few lbs and then get started, or should I just go for it? I want to hear from some one who has taught or is now teaching these kind of classes. I take showers in the morning and I always blow dry it and I also tease my hair. Then my hair starts looking and feeling gross later that day (around night time) or the next day. I’ve tried the Baby powder trick but it didn’t work for me. I have people in my family telling me that i am ruining my hair by drying it and washing it that often and that i won’t have a lot of hair when i get older. Is there anything I can do to keep it “healthy” looking, thick and not oily?

By the way I use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner. I’ve also used Suave but that makes my hair even worse.
I also use conditioner on my roots and a little more than what i’m supposed to. I know that I should use a dime size amount and put it on the end of my hair only.

I’m not stick thin, so it’s not like there’s nothing to lose; I have enough curves that five or ten pounds off would look nice (I haven’t been using a scale though; just looking at myself in the mirror and through the way I fit in my clothes, I can tell I haven’t really had much improvement).

Is it just too early to start seeing results? Or do I need to create a more vigorous exercise routine?

misslissa808 asked:

i hurt my back two saturday’s ago from lifting a huge and heavy box by myself(i know, stupid). i tried to carry it across the street to the place i was having a garage sale and it fell in the middle of the road, so of course, not wanting to look like an idoit, i picked it up fast and carried it all akwardly. well later that day, maybe 2 hrs later i felt a pain in what i thought was my lower back. well, it went away. then on tuesday i was sitting on the floor drying my dog and when i went to stand up, there was a radiating pain in my back, same spot, but this time i could hardly walk. i couldnt stand straight up w/o being in pain. the pain runs down my mid back to back thighs. i took ibuprofen and iced it. then later had my husband rub icy hot on it. that made it feel better. two days later, i sat on the floor again and that bothered it again. that saturday i got a deep tissue massage. and i felt exactly where the pain was. she said it was mid back. not lower.she massaged it and it helped. but today, i am feeling it again. again, stupidly i sat on the floor. so looks like i aggrivate this pain when i sit on the floor. how long does this pain last? should i not exercise at all? (i take an aerobics class and some days i walk/jog on my treadmill) i have a 10 mo old son and i bend down a lot. even as i’m sitting i feel the some slight pain. would a chiropractor help? oh and i’m leaving for hawaii next tuesday, on an 8 hr flight w/ my son. i want this pain gone by then! is it possible!
Emily asked:

I am 13. i weigh 150 pounds, an im 5′5 inches. I want to lose 10-20 pounds and get a flatter stomach.

I walk half a mile everyday. My plan is to go to 24 hour fitness three times a week for an hour and a half. 2 of those times i will do 30 minutes on the treadmill, 10 on the elliptical, ten stretching
and ten weight training.
The third day i will do a 60 minute aerobics class after half an hour of weight training and stretching.

The other 4 days of the week besides walking half a mile i will bike one or two miles.

My diet will be 950 – 1500 calories a day – lots of protein and water and not any desert or soda.

if i eat healthy ( 900-1200 calories a day, lots of water, no dessert)
How much weight will i lose per month if i do this, and do you think its healthy?

anita
