I surely hope you find someone….never dated a guy? Initiate the conversation on your own. Why wait for him? You are apparently someone that arouses his interest. This man has a lot on his plate and could be experiencing something in the manner of the five stages of emotional and behavioral change associated with death. The same applies to many situations in life, including a divorce of many years. Denial and shock, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance are the standard, usually in that order, but not necessarily. You may just ask him out for coffee after aerobics class. What’s the harm? Open the lines of communication, maybe he doesn’t know how to, remember it’s been a long time for him and he has been hurt deeply. Keep in mind your age difference, it may not matter to you, but to him?? I wish you the best of luck and please be careful. Step softly, you could get hurt (emotionally). Bobdog….The character on Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, that is…..
There are 2 possible problems here. 1 is: looks to me like he has built a defensive wall around his heart and wont easily let anyone in. You must somehow get him comfortable enough so that he talks to you about his most intimate sides(i.e… his dreams and goals in life etc), if this is the problem with him , i guarantee you will solve it by good communication. You must somehow earn his trust enough to get into his heart and see whats going on in there.
if its problem no 2(meaning he just wants a casual relationship, then its time to kick him to the curb and move on. Anyway i see it, you must get inside his heart to know fully whats going on with him.
and dont worry about not ever dating a guy as thats a good thing. Dating is wayyyyyyyy overrated and it only teaches people about how to more accept short term casual relationships.
If all else fails just tell him kuch kuch hot hai and hopefully something will happen in his heart looool
