Tanya, if you have serious persistent pain that keeps you from sleeping at night, you need to have it checked by a medical specialist. especially if it was supposed to diminish with time. go to a orthopedist and have your leg x-ray&#039;d and your medical history reviewed.
but, on the flip side, if it is physical activities like running, jumping, etc that cause your leg pain, why not try swimming?
swimming burns a massive amount of calories, and is a very low impact exercise. you can let your legs float behind you while you use only your upper body. try swimming for a few minutes at first, and then work your way up to swimming hard for 10-20 minutes non stop. if you swim everyday, yuo will shed pounds and improve your overall health, as it is extremely beneficial to have at least 30 minutes of rigourous (elevated heart rate) excercise everyday. also, upper body excercises such as pushups, pull ups, dips, etc can build lots of lean muscle mass. lean muscle burns more calories even when you are inactive, so if you can increase muscle mass, you will actually lose weight. however, understand that muscle is alot denser than fat, and as such, you may actually gain weight while toning your body. and watch that diet! i was a bit heavy during my teen years, until i stopped drinking soda, i dropped 15 lbs in 3 months, it was incredible. i ran further, slept easier, had better teeth, etc. i drink around 6 bottled waters a day now and havnt had a medical problem since! all from just quitting SODA!
and remember, you are your own unique person, so dont let other people get to you, but dont shun helpful advise either!</description>
