Well there’s no real to make up for the loss of intensity between power walking and jogging but there is always time to sneak in exercises during the day. For example if you take the elevator take instead the stairs. Also when your in front of the television go ahead and exercise. If your going to add in some resistance training, then I would definitely recommend doing them first before cardio. Due the fact that the first 30 minutes of exercise are utilizing the stored energy your body has from foods it recently ate and not metabolizing the fat on your body.
add weights to your power walk. or try to do it and grass sand or up a small hill. anything that adds resistencae will some what equal it out to a 6o minute work out
Don’t you worry, I think power walking implies that you’ll have to walk at very fast and brsik pace like you’re race walking. If you can do that in 20 mins and cover more miles, then the benefits will be similar to jogging for 20 mins.
You don’t have to go for 60 mins per session unless you’re aiming for weight loss.
A powerful, fast race walking of 20 mins will do just fine, to keep your heart worked up to stronger state, get your blood circulated, pump more oxygen into your blood stream and accelerate discharge of toxins/wastes from your body. These are all good for generating good health.
Please know that a little bit of exercise is better than no exercise at all!
